The Progressive Era (1890 - 1920)
To Sum Up... the word progressive comes from the word progress.... which basically means to improve upon something
One of the major goals of the Progressive movement was to protect social welfare. Child labor laws began to be put into effect in the late 19th and early 20th century by polticians and courts on a local, state, and eventually national level as a result of efforts made by many reformers. Many countries around the world today still have few, if any, child labor laws.
